Siwar Quente (Hummingbird)
In this sculpture we can appreciate the naturalistic style, in which the artist try to perpetuate the moment when the hummingbird is tasting the sweet nectar of the orchid flower, remembering us the magic of life to look for the good and the beauty of each day.
The hummingbird has a spiritual meaning very powerful in the Andes of South America Means resurrection, hope and light of change. Seems to die in the cold nights, but comes but comes back to life again at dawn. In Machupicchu there are many varieties of different sizes and colors, its incredible fluttering is a symbol of infinity and is capable of the most amazing feats despite its small size, such as traveling great distances or being able to fly backwards, also inspires us to look at our past to learn of the good of the present and look to the future.
The hummingbird symbolizes the enjoyment of life and lightness of being. Those who have the hummingbred as a totem are invited to enjoy the sweetness of life, lift up negativity it creeps in and express love more fully, in their daily endeavors.
